Creative Watch//Drop Out Venus - LOVE + DESIRE
Last year we had Drop Out Venus's Elastic Teen Rent, with it's suggestive yet excellent video, on our playlist for a long time. When they released LOVE + DESIRE last month we had that same feeling. In fact we spent so much time enjoying it we forget to write about it until now!
With a nervous energy filled vocal reminiscent of early PJ Harvey and a slowly mounting tension to it's production the song was clearly timed to rip the Valentines Day celebration apart. Choice lines include comparing a lover to a kitten on death row and when the familar crunching guitar kicks in mid way through the song you get another slice of creepy as hell goodness from a band that just gets better and better!
