New Music // Josei (Soil & “Pimp”Sessions) releases debut solo piano album

A member of the explosive Tokyo Death Jazz band Soil & “Pimp” Sessions and part of duo jazz act J.A.M, Josei releases his first solo album I See You While Playing The Piano via Japan based record label Spiral Records this week.

The album features original compositions by the artist as well as covers of some better known and some more obscure compositions from other artists. Fans of his previous release with J.A.M and Soil & “Pimp” Sessions will find this work easy to relate to and no less energetic.  Although a European release seems unlikely, as with much of the best of Japan’s Jazz scene, make sure to check out record label for more information!
