If you caught the life affirming,excellent film 20,000 Days On Earth last month you’ll have seen a studio run
through of this new single from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. The film
version, performed entirely on piano was mesmerising and the final version,
released on 10inch vinyl and download from November 10th, is just as beautiful,
with an achingly minimalist soundscape backing Cave’s shadowy oration
perfectly.
The song comes with a live
version of Jubilee Street recorded at the Sydney Opera House as a companion in
both formats.
