You should know by now that we at Seba Rashii Culture: Online Culture Zine like the urban scene and a new bi monthly night looks set to become a fixture for those who share that love. The bold text below tells you all you need to know! 


A new night is to launch on Friday 23rd November at Parr Street Studios hot spot The Attic Bar. 'The 5 Boroughs' will bring together the three music genres that developed in New York during the 1970's, Hip-Hop, Disco & Punk

With DJ sets from X-Ray Cat & JayJay Da Funk (both members of collective CantMixWontMix) enhanced by visual effects and projected video art from 'Speakeasy' VJ GrayTorino. The night, sponsored by Brooklyn Brewery, is free entry 10.00pm-3.00am with drinks offers to help lubricate you enough to break out your inner B-boy.

Chris Herstad Carney (X-Ray Cat) creator of the night says:

"I've had the idea for a night that gives a nod to this explosive era in music history for a while now. When The Attic asked me to develop something this made perfect sense & I booked fellow enthusiasts JayJay & Gray immediately. Although to be honest I am a fraud as I've never actually been to New York. I think I need a research trip."

The night is set to be bimonthly and there are plans expand into live music as well as DJs from Liverpool and further afield.
