New Sounds // Smoke Fairies – Eclipse Them All
#srcz first caught Smoke
Fairies in Liverpool’s LEAF Teas Shop during Sound City a few years back and
knew quality when heard it. Their 2012 album Blood Speaks impressed hugely with
its blues infused dark waves and it’s self-titled follow up Smoke Fairies is
coming later this year…
Exciting times indeed you
might say – and there’s a preview in the form of Eclipse Them All online now…
The band retains their
distinctive, dark edge but has expanded into an epic sound that is subtle but
quiet enough to really get under your skin. It would be all too easy to quote
the band themselves here, but on an evening of dark reflection this would
certainly eclipse most listening choices easily.
